Spring for a day, now back to Winter
Yesterday was a wonderful early Spring day in DC. Temperatures hovered near 70, and skies were clear. I rolled up the sleves on my shirt and walked down in M Street, enjoying the great weather. Alas, winter reared back it's bitch slap, returning us to the cold, blustery, snowy weather normally reserved for late January/ early February.
The lesson for this week is survival. Just make it through a few more days. The weather is going to turn around, Spring will stop teasing us and return.
Looking ahead to big things, on Friday at 2:30, IU plays Minnesota in the Big Ten Tournament. The winner likely gets a bid to the NCAA Tournament, along with a 1:30 Saturday date with now vulnerable Illinois (unless Northwestern pulls a shocker). Don't forget, I called it here first, IU beats Illinois to make it to the Big Ten Tournament Final.
