March is Busy

Wow this month is shaping up to be full of exciting events. Saturday is the annual Old Town Alexandria St. Patrick's Day Parade and dog show (yes, St. Patrick's Day is two weeks later). Be sure to enjoy some pints at Pat Troy's Irish Pub, Murphy's or if it is open, the new Daniel O'Connell's pub on King Street (where the old Bullfeather's used to be). Saturday also features plenty of college basketball as Championship Week kicks off on ESPN.

The following week features basketball, basketball and more basketball! On March 14, Rusted Root is bringing their high energy spin-dance inducing show to the 9:30 Club. The NCAA Tournament begins on Tuesday, March 15 with the play-in game. My birthday follows on March 16, with St. Patrick's Day the next day and the opening round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship. Basketball madness continues throughout the weekend.

On Sunday, March 20, I break myself away from college basketball just long enough to tag along to the Indigo Girls show at the 9:30 Club. March 21 is a big day, and more will be posted later. My parents come to visit us later that weekend, and it is the start of the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in DC. Plus more basketball!

Whew! Big events all around this month. Hopefully the warm weather will come join us, it is pretty cold here.
