BAAAGH!!!!!
I'm really glad I can't watch IU knock itself out of consideration for the NCAA Tournament. I've been following the live gametracker on NCAASports.com, and apparently Minnesota has just won 71-55 in the 4-5 game of the Big Ten Tournament. Since it is hard to tell from the gametracker exactly what went wrong, I don't know what IU did to get blown out. Missing free throws might be one thing wrong. They seems to start the second half pretty well, and DJ White was keeping them in the game. I definitely won't be reviewing the game on the tivo when I get home from work.
Ugh. They're probably looking at the NIT now. Mike Davis should be back next season. IU was a young team that played a killer preseason schedule and did an admirable job staying in the Big Ten race to finish 10-6. That phantom loss to Charlotte earlier in the year killed them and their chances at the NCAA Tournament (that and losing at the buzzer to Wisconsin last week). Maybe the Committee will take that into consideration, but I doubt it.
My predictions aren't the best, but watch out, IU will have a top 5 team next season.
